class may also be setup as a TeleClass or Distance Learning Class) |

Many college
students are learning for the first time that they have Attention Deficit
Disorder and/or Learning Disabilities. These students are very capable
of learning in the college environment, but their unaddressed attentional
difficulties become overwhelming as they struggle to complete the simplest
tasks each day with little or no satisfaction. This 4-part workshop, is taught by an
AD/HD Coach who is also an adult with AD/HD.
It promises to teach you something you don’t already know. Learn
how you can make college a success for you and what you can do to make AD/HD
a positive force in your life. These
sessions focus on self-awareness, structure and self-empowerment. A
planning-journal is provided along with other materials that are included in
the cost. This course teaches: ► How you process information ► Strategies that work best in the learning environment ►
How to complete assignments with structure ►
How to raise your self-esteem - your integrity ► Writing papers ► Test taking – the anxiety of it all Part 1 – Adult Areas of
Concern, Outcomes of living with a disorganized mind, A different thought
process Part 2 – Procrastination, Anxiety’s role, speaking with your professors – keeping in touch, Perception, Taking notes Part 3 – Assertiveness, B.E.D., Pessimism or Optimism, Active reading, Writing papers – Rush!
