Significant Leadership Project

I represented the City of Avon Lake, on behalf of the Women’s Club of Avon Lake, in a community wide effort to reduce the long distance rate for calling into Cuyahoga County and Elyria, Ohio. I created an informational flow among Ohio state officials, PUCO, and Ohio Consumer’s Council, gaining support and participation, in the organization of a public hearing with representatives from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and CenturyTel’s attorneys, lasting 13 ½ hours.
